Have you read the books, “As a Man Thinketh" and “The Magic of Believing?“ Both books are classics on the subject of mindset and the laws of success. In this podcast episode, I read excerpts from both books. The idea to share this message came about because of a conversation I had with my son, Connor. Although the many things I counseled him, I spent much of the time reminding him of the "power of thought." The excerpts I share are powerful. I suggest that you listen to the podcast without taking notes. Rather, relax and ponder on the truths of the message. Let this podcast be a good reminder of how important our thoughts are and how they relate to achievement, health, attitude, relationships, and life.

If you are seeking happiness through "self-love" alone, you might be disappointed. Self-love is a new, trendy phrase that typically has to do with self-worth, self-esteem, compassion for self, fulfillment, confidence, and happiness, and I agree that each one is important. However, when "self-love" becomes all about "ME," happiness will be stifled. If you want more love, then GIVE IT AWAY. Happy people seem to be those who recognize their greatness and understand that sharing it by lifting others is a sign of TRUE GREATNESS and a source of TRUE HAPPINESS!

There are two types of people in life: 1) those who wait for evidence that their goals will work before they take the first step, and 2) those who rely on the evidence of their faith. If I had waited for the evidence that I "could" write books, I probably would have never written one—let alone four. One of the mysteries of life is trusting that one's efforts will pay off, while ignoring the momentary or repeated setbacks. Achieving goals takes patience and faith in one's ideas. Don't wait for evidence before you start taking action. Start by taking action, and the answers will unfold before your eyes. Trust the unknown. Trust the process. Take actions toward living your dreams starting today!

The one critical factor that separates the high achiever from the low achiever is 'demanding the best from yourself.' In my book, “If You Think You Can!," this is Law #2.
